REPRESENTATIVE ENGAGEMENTS

 

CONSUMER PRODUCTS COMPANY, New York, NY 

Developed and implemented a crisis response plan for a leading marketing organization concerning catalog gift promotions to consumers. The plan identified resources, skills, methods, procedures and controls necessary to manage a backlog in the customer fulfillment effort for the Marlboro Adventure Team promotion. Assisted with selection of staff for a new fulfillment organization. 

Developed a simulation model to forecast shipping delays in fulfilling a backlog of customer orders based on inventory receipt schedules, shipping capacities, reshipping factors and age of the orders. Model was used to send delay letters to customers including a forecast of shipping dates by item on orders. Coordinated an outbound telemarketing effort using multiple outsourced vendors to contact customers with shipping delays to gain agreement to wait for product delivery. 

Project managed outsourced vendors providing software and services for catalog fulfillment functions. 

Developed business requirements for modifications to the vendor software. Project managed the implementation of the changes. 

Developed and executed a test plan to verify compliance with the change requirements and the stability of unmodified functions.

INTERNATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPANY, Rye Brook, NY 

Project management consultant performing a liaison function between a client group and the computer program development organization. 

Provided a technology skills transfer to train the group to organize, prioritize, schedule and track the work requested by the clients and implemented by the development staff. 

INTERNATIONAL CONSUMER PRODUCTS COMPANY, Rye Brook, NY 

Migrated information systems department project task schedules from PC based products to client/server mainframe product to integrate with a charge for services reporting system for information systems project cost tracking. 

ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY, Fort Lauderdale, FL 

Development of a plan to manage a data center consolidation and relocation proposal to move the corporate data center from Fort Lauderdale to Dallas, Texas. 

CONSUMER PRODUCTS COMPANY, Richmond, VA 

Participated as a member of a team on a massive marketing promotion for a leading marketing organization. The project involved developing an operations and communications plan for the logistics of transporting a large group of rail passengers to many intermediate stop locales using a variety of transportation vehicles and communication facilities. 

WEBSITE COMPANY, Guilford, CT 

Developed a business plan for launching an Internet Web Site. Researched the marketplace for competitive issues, rates and usage estimates. Created a staffing plan and a task work plan with a procedure for establishing priorities. Provided a capital funds and cash flow needs schedule.

Alan Haesche is managing partner and co-founder of Leetes Island Enterprises, LLC. He is a seasoned management consultant and has strong expertise in management information systems, business planning, project management of financial, marketing, customer service, order fulfillment and human resource functions. He brings over 20 years of experience in the information technology, and telecommunications industries as a former senior executive with a telecommunications company. 

The following is a brief summary of some of Mr. Haesche's recent consulting experience that included engagements for Fortune 500 companies:

Mr. Haesche spent a major part of his career with the Southern New England Telecommunications Company, a former AT&T Bell System company, where he successfully managed the information technology organization. 

Mr. Haesche holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana with a major in Chemistry, Physics and Biology and a minor in Math. He also completed the Systems Design Program in operations research, simulation, probability and statistics at the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business; the Harvard Business School Program for Managing the Data Processing Function; the Dartmouth Institute Humanities Program at Dartmouth College and the Institute for Information Studies at the Aspen Institute.
